Happy Hallowe'en!!!

Today was day 86!! As soon as I came home, I went out to get the cache before all the little trick or treaters came out. It was a simple cache not too far from home. I had tried this cache before but came away empty handed. It was a very cloudy and rainy day and the iPhone was bouncing all over.

Today was different, with the clear skies the iPhone lead MiniGomes and I right to GZ.

I Am Not Part Of This System

A unique and fun hide.

More caching to come, I'll try to update the blog more frequently.

Cheers.....

Caching Frenzy!!

I know it's been a while since I last blogged, but we have been keeping up the work and have kept the streak going. I have a few pictures but they are still on the iPhone. Hopefully I can download for next time.

So tonight CelyG and I went out to get our cache. We were scouting the area to determine our best approach to GZ, went the iPhone started to buzz! Four new caches!! Where were they and could we possible beat the Flintstones and get a FTF? So we looked at he description of the first cache and the CO was Flintstone himself! That made CelyG very excited and determined to to get a FTF. So off we went, as these caches were not around the corner, they were close to Derry and Dixie.

We arrived at the first GZ and was happy to be the FTF!

At the second cache, again we were greeted with a FTF!!
A Cache Made for A King

At the third cache, we did not get an FTF, however we met up with a fellow cacher.
Derryside Green P&G

The last cache was done in the dark and CelyG and Nicjonh, got closest to GZ, however, from about 5 metres above them I was able to spot the cache container. Again not a FTF, but a fun find.

A great night of caching that was made possible by fellow cacher Flintstone5611. Thanks for all the great hides tonight!

60 days and counting......

Sorry it's been so long since my last update but I just can't remember to log on every night, other things keep getting in the way.
However, tonight's adventure was memorable enough that I decided to stay up and get some words down. Plus, I have reached the 2 month mark!! Yeah!!!
So tonight I was a busy after school activity night. Mark was with Mason at swimming, and Celeste had piano lessons then play practice, and both Mark and I are starting to come down with a cold. I drop Celeste off at 7pm for her play practice and I decide to go for a cache just of Queen Street.
I was able to park at the Legion just down from the path system into the park, it was a short 250 metres toward GZ from there. A nice evening for the short walk.
As I approached GZ, I decided to read the hint as it was getting dark and even though I had a flashlight I didn't want to be there for too long! I followed the hint instructions and was soon looking between all the rocks and in the crevices. At one point, one of my feet got stuck and I could not get it out! I thought I would need to call for help (thank goodness I did have my I phone), but I was able to keep calm and get my foot out. After that little incident, I rested my butt on a rock and ended up staring straight at the cache! A nice ammo box in the middle of the city. One worth checking out!
